Sexual Assault Awareness Month 2023
Apr 1 – Apr 30 all-day

Sexual assault is a scary and uncomfortable topic, but avoiding the discussion altogether will not help the issue improve. Awareness is important, so that our community is more equipped to prevent further assault, hold perpetrators accountable, and support victims.

April is Sexual Assault Awareness Month – a time to learn more about this specific issue in our community, our country, and our world. You may see an increase in social media posts about the issue or even some local events themed toward sexual assault in April. But, at the end of the month, it can be easy to move on and forget what you’ve learned.

This year, use the knowledge you gain throughout April to join the cause toward prevention and awareness. Check out some of the resources below for some ideas of how you can get involved, learn more, or get support for a past assault. Join the cause to make our communities safer for all.
