Design a Valentine Contest

January 10 @ 8:00 am - February 14 @ 11:00 pm

WIN is hosting a Design a Valentine Contest!

February is Teen Dating Violence Awareness Month and features Valentine’s Day.

1 in 3 teens experience violence in a relationship, including youth as young as 11. Many 6th graders already have unrealistic and unhealthy ideas of what relationships should be like.

To raise awareness about healthy relationships, WIN is hosting a Design a Valentine contest!

Students are invited to design a digital valentine that can be shared on social media or through text and email that promotes healthy relationships.

See below for prizes and complete list of rules.

Prizes

  • 1st Place$50 Target Gift Card
  • 2nd Place$25 Sheetz Gift Card
  • 3rd Place$10 Starbucks Gift Card

The top 5 submissions will be posted on WIN’s website and social media for people to download and share.

Winners will be announced Tuesday, Feb. 11th via the email address used for submission.

How to Enter

Students must be in 6th-12th grade in Franklin and Fulton counties in order to compete. Eligible students will design a digital valentine that can be shared on social media, through text, or through email. Suggested sizes are 1080 x 1080 or 1080 x 1350. The design must feature a message about healthy relationships. (For ideas and inspiration, check out loveisrespect.org)

Students may use design software like Canva, but the design should be original and not a pre-made template. Designs should be saved as an image file such as .png or .jpeg.

Designs must be submitted to brittanyl@winservices.org no later than 10pm Sunday, February 9th. Email submissions must include the student’s name, grade, and school (only first name, last initial, and grade will be used publicly).

Winners will be determined by a team of judges and notified on Tuesday, February 11th via the email address used to submit the design. Prizes may be picked up at the WIN office during business hours or the student can request to have the prize mailed to their home address.

By submitting a design and participating in the contest, students agree to the rules and having their design and information shared publicly. Designs found to be in violation of the rules will be disqualified.
