Sexual Assault Awareness Month is a time to learn more about this specific issue in our community, our country, and our world. You may see an increase in social media posts about the issue or even some local events themed toward sexual assault in April. But, at the end of the month, it can be easy to move on and forget what you’ve learned.
This year, use the knowledge you gain throughout April to join the cause toward prevention and awareness. Check out some of the resources below for some ideas of how you can get involved, learn more, or get support for a past assault. Join the cause to make our communities safer for all.
Also, keep your eye out for the color teal displayed in downtown Chambersburg this month as a way to honor sexual assault victims.
All of WIN’s services are free and confidential for survivors of sexual violence – recent or from the past.
