Mark your calendar for May 5th, 2023, for our next Walk a Mile in Her Shoes event!
You know the old adage, “you don’t know what someone is going through until you walk a mile in their shoes.” This event brings that old saying to life! Local men and boys will almost literally walk a mile in the shoes of women and sexual assault victims by putting on a pair of red heels and walk together in Downtown Chambersburg. Through your support, we can raise awareness of sexual violence in our community and raise funds for WIN Victim Services.
Participate in 3 simple steps:
- Register – Sign up by clicking the link below! You will receive a confirmation email and instructions on how to get sponsors and prepare for the walk.
- Fundraise – Ask friends, family, and your community to sponsor your walk. This is a crucial part of participating. All proceeds go directly to WIN.
- Walk – Show up for check-in on the day of the event, receive your pair of heels, and walk downtown. Tell friends and family to come watch you and support the event!
**NEW THIS YEAR: The walker who raises the most sponsorship money will win a GRAND PRIZE that includes the following items: $100 in cash donated by In & Out Beverage, $50 gift card to Liquid Art Brewing Company, $50 Butcher Bucks for The Butcher Shoppe, and a $25 gift card to Legendz Bar!
Check in begins at 5pm. Walk begins at 6pm.
Registration is now open!
Sponsored by: American Legion Auxiliary Post 46, Manitowoc, Martin’s Famous Potato Rolls and Bread, Procter and Gamble, TB Wood’s and Ventura Foods.
Come see the WIN team at Fulton County Medical Center’s summer kick off event! We’ll have a table set up the entire time – come ask any questions you have about WIN and find out about all the free and confidential services we offer.
